off topic

Why would the insurance company send me a page in the middle of my bill with the words "This page left intentionally blank"?  For one thing--IT'S NOT BLANK.  And why send it at all?  Appearantly, someone was confused by the previously blank page, so they explained that it was perposefully blank to customers after that...but not WHY it's there at all.

I guess some mysteries were not ment to be solved.

  1. I think they want all the land to turn into paper, and all the water into ink. Aaacturally, I think they may have originally printed it double-sided to save on paper, but then got stuck with a printer that only does single-sided. But you're right, if it's going to remain a mystery we'd better not solve it, had we? I recommend a movie I just saw called "Clue," inspired by a board game I never recall playing. Say hi from me from my favorite super dog Yukon! Am I your first? Commenter, I mean. Don't try filling in those purposefully blank pages, or you never know what will happen. But any novelist ought to know that. Nice chatting.

  2. This uppity writer for the NYT ends on a rather somewhat funny note sniffing coon scat in the big apple like that's even possible!

  3. I don't see any link here in your blog that would lead people to the wonderful book you've published , you know, the one with all the great stories told by Yukon and the rest. What's up with that, mom? But hey, I know how to put links inside of comments, like this!

Like magic, huh! HTML is like that, sometimes.
